Check out these hot lil’ numbers that I just picked up from Macy’s!
I’ve been eyeing them for some time now, and since I’m pulling together a few outfits for my photo shoot in November, I thought these babies would be a perfect addition to my “fitness” look.
Food Planning = FAIL
Earlier this week I promised to attempt a food plan and share on the blog. I wrote one, then promptly ignored it as the food in my fridge that needed to be eaten took precedence over what appeared under “what to eat for lunch” in my notebook.
So yesterday I spent 5 hours in the kitchen prepping food for the week, but when I sat down to write out a food plan for the rest of the week, I was totally overwhelmed. That’s too much commitment for this girl!
So in the spirit of taking baby steps, I wrote a one-day meal plan to see if I could stick with it. I even geeked out on the macro-nutrient distribution!!
Meanwhile, here’s what I’ve been noming on this week:
Breakfast: Egg whites + tofu scramble burrito (sidebar: I probably shouldn’t eat the tortilla as it’s not #unprocessed, but I had to finish the package, so I forgive myself.
Mid-morning Snackaroo: Spinach + kiwi + Vega protein powder shake
Lunch: Veggie soup, roasted baba ganoush + tempeh fingers
Mid day snack: Garden of Live Raw Meal Replacement (I’ll do a post on this stuff soon. It’s great.)
Dinner: The hubbie and I headed to Akasha a few nights ago. I had the tofu bowl with veggies and quinoa which was awesome as usual, but I also started out with this super cool vegan pate that had a green bean and garlic base. It freakin rocked my world.
What do you think of the little mason jar the pate was served in? Pretty cute, right?
