I’ve been experimenting with these lately as I’m slowly working to remove dairy from my diet, at least long enough to see if I have a bad reaction to it.
Coffee is a big deal in my world. I only have 1 cup a day, but you can be sure it’s the best possible experience I can have with my single caffeine interlude. So finding the right non-dairy creamer is key.
So I’ve tried these and I must say, they’re not bad, but not terribly accessible (I’ve only found them on Amazon) and I’m trying to temper my Amazon habit.
I just bought this coconut creamer which is something I’ve previously ignored because it had WAY too much sugar. But the good people of So Delicious have caught on that peeps don’t want sugar in their creamers, so they’ve made this one with less than 1 gram per serving. Nice work, guys!
But I’m still open to experimentation and because I find this stuff (below) to taste SO freaking good, I figured I might as well make a creamer out of it (because it has the consistency of milk).
So here’s my easy-peasy recipe. You can use any brand of non-dairy milk, but I do recommend Califia (specifically the non-sweetened coconut/almond blend) because it’s ridiculously good and it’s free of carrageenan (a food additive that can cause stomach irritation).
