I got back a few days ago, and for the last 72 hours, I’ve done little else but sleep. I flew in late Thursday night and woke up Friday morning feeling as though a bus had hit me, then slammed into reverse and ran me over again. I guess the emotional, physical and mental stress of avoiding crazy traffic, cow droppings, pushy vendors, cancerous pollution levels, unbearable noise, dicey food and unidentifiable bugs has suddenly caught up with me. It’s as though my body said: “okay, I got you through all that, now you owe me some serious horizontal time!”
This morning I woke up feeling somewhat normal, so its time to resume life and face the world once more. There is a lot to figure out, many choices that need to be made and a ton of laundry to be done. I’m both excited and overwhelmed to imagine what comes next, but I commit to taking each step mindfully and rebuilding my world in a way that reflects who I am now.
Wish me luck!
